Today was quite exciting. We have 8 healthy pups. They are all approximately 10" long and weigh between 14 and 16 oz each. 
 Gender check is 7 male and 1 female.

2/16/14: Pups are exploring outside on this gorgeous morning.

2/15/14: Since introducing the pups to solid food, they have been sleeping quite a bit. Takes a lot of energy to grow, and as you can see, they are growing super fast! Pups are 26 days old. 

2/13/14: Pups first trip outside and they did not know what to make of it. In the end they loved it! When I brought them back in, they all went right to sleep. All that fun exhausted them! Pups are 24 days old.

2/12/14: Seeing is believing! Just started paper training the pups yesterday and some are already getting the idea. They are so smart. 

Pups are 23 days old.

2/11/14: Pups are diggin' their first taste of puppy chow! 
Pups are 22 days old. 

2/10/14: Pups first taste of solid food. They wore as much as they ate and loved it! Pups are 3 weeks old. 

2/10/14: Third pup selected! Neon Pink #3 and his name is Lucky. 

Pups are 21 days old.

2/10/14: Pups are 3 weeks old and are starting to enjoy

 their nutritional supplement.

2/9/14: Second pup selected! Bright Blue #2 and his name is Kizer.

 Pups are 20 days old.

2/9/14: First pup selected! Neon Green #1 and his name is Doug. 

Pups are 20 days old.

2/8/14: Pups get their first nutritional supplements. Shelby cannot keep up with their nursing demands so the pups begin to get extra nutrition. This is the first step towards going on solid food in a week or so. 

Pups are 18 days old. 

2/8/14: Pups first bath in warm water and they all loved it! By the time the pups are re-homed, they will be so familiar with being in water that the new pup owners will not have issues with their pets liking water and getting bathed. I will only bathe them in warm water because dog shampoo is not necessary at their young age. Pups are 18 days old.

2/7/14: Pups are playing at 17 days old

They are 17 days old and growing so fast.

2/5/14: Pups 16 days old and are feeling playful today! 

2/5/14: I just measured the pups about 4 days ago in a video I posted and they were just the length of the ruler at that time. Now, 4 days later check out this amazing growth! Pups are 16 days old. 

2/4/15: Pups at 15 days old

2/13/14: I spent a few minutes frolicking with the pups and recorded it for you to enjoy! Pups are two weeks old today.

2/2/14: Pups at 13 days old are just beginning to have their eyes open! How adorable they are!

2/2/14: Feeding time is here again. Today the pups eyes are beginning to open. Soon they will be able to see their gorgeous mama, Shelby!
Pups are 13 days old. 

2/1/14: After their 3:00 am feed, our 12 day old 
pups return to peaceful slumber. 

1/31/14: Sleeping Beauty! Pup is 11 days old.

During the night she began to show early signs of labor.

The day it all began...Duke and Shelby play "The Mating Game".

For those of you who might not know, this is called a "tie". During mating, the male reverses himself once he has entered the female. He is then locked into place, or tied as you will. They remain in this position up to 20 minutes while copulation takes place. This happens multiple times during the heat cycle. Once this process is complete, they separate and adoringly look into each others eyes and ask "was it good for you" ?! Then they take a long nap!
